Google To Begin Encrypting Searches & Outbound Clicks

Google is starting to encrypt searches that users do by default, if a user is logged into Google.com with a secure connection. This change in SSL search also mean that the sites a user visits after clicking on the results at Google will not receive “referrer” data that shows what those users search for , with the exception in the case of ads.

Google announced on their new blog “As search becomes an increasingly customized experience, we recognize the growing importance of protecting the personalized search results we deliver. As a result, we’re enhancing our default search experience for signed-in users.”
